Add a scarce piece of Arizona meteoritic history to your collection with this authentic 2.8-gram Trilby Wash meteorite, an officially recognized L4 Ordinary Chondrite discovered in Maricopa County, Arizona.
The Trilby Wash meteorite was recovered on January 13, 2005, from Arizona's Basin region. A total of only 22 stones, weighing a combined 846 grams, were recovered, making this an uncommon Arizona meteorite with limited availability to collectors.
This specimen is a partial polished fragment, allowing both the natural exterior and polished interior to be appreciated in a single display piece. The polished surface reveals the meteorite's internal mineral structure, while the remaining natural surface preserves its original appearance as recovered from the Arizona desert.
Adding to its desirability, this specimen carries documented provenance through respected Arizona meteorite collectors Bill Southern and Larry Sloan, providing an outstanding chain of ownership and authenticity.

A Collectible Arizona Meteorite
Although larger than some of Arizona's rarest meteorites, Trilby Wash remains a difficult specimen to acquire due to its limited recovered mass and relatively small number of recovered stones. Its official classification, Arizona locality, and documented provenance make it an excellent addition to collections specializing in Arizona meteorites, ordinary chondrites, or authenticated historic finds.
Whether displayed individually or alongside other Arizona meteorites, this Trilby Wash specimen represents an authentic and increasingly difficult-to-find piece of the state's meteoritic heritage.
